IA
Technical Level I personnel make the Computing
Environment (CE) less vulnerable by correcting flaws
and implementing IA technical controls in the
hardware or software installed within their
operational systems.
Computing Environment (CE): (ref: CNSSI 4009)

system, peripherals and applications.
IA Technical
Level II
IA
Technical Level II personnel provide network
environment (NE) and advanced level CE support. They
pay special attention to intrusion detection,
finding and fixing unprotected "back doors," and
ensuring that remote access points are well secured.
These positions focus on threats and vulnerabilities
and improve the security of systems.
IA Technical
Level III
IA
Technical Level III personnel focus on the enclave
environment and support, monitor, test, and
troubleshoot hardware and software IA problems
pertaining to the CE, NE, and enclave environments.
Enclave: Collection of computing environments
connected by one or more internal networks under the
control of a single authority and security policy
including personnel and physical security.
